Puffin Cottage Holidays presents Castaway Lodge - a stunning self-catering holiday lodge located within the picturesque grounds of Stepaside Heritage Park, a former colliery and iron works site that has been redeveloped to provide quality holiday accommodation in the peaceful hamlet of Pleasant Valley.
Set amongst picturesque woodland with many scenic walking trails in the area, Castaway Lodge is just a pleasant woodland walk away from the beach at Wisemans Bridge (with a quiet children's play park and picnic spot on the way) and, continuing along the Pembrokeshire coast path, you can also walk to the seaside harbour village of Saundersfoot where you will find a delightful array of shops, restaurants, pubs and cafes as well as activities like paddle boarding, kayaking and boat trips around the bay.
The lodge itself enters into the hallway with doors leading to all rooms.
Kitchen: Well-equipped with everything you will need for your self-catering holiday including dishwasher, microwave, hob, fridge-freezer, washer/dryer, oven and grill.
Lounge/dining room: Comfortable dining and sofa seating for up to 4 people. Large screen TV with Freeview. Electric fire. Large windows allow plenty of light in and the patio doors lead out to the furnished veranda.
Master Bedroom: King-sized bed, large built in wardrobes and dressing table. Smart TV. Door to en-suite.
En-suite: Large shower unit, toilet and basin
Bedroom 2: Double bed. Built in wardrobes and dressing table.
Bathroom: Bath with shower over, toilet and basin.
Outside the large veranda is furnished with table, chairs and sun loungers. This perfect sun trap provides a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a little piece of paradise!
Castaway Lodge offers parking for the one car (with further parking spaces at the entrance to the Heritage Park, if required) and further benefits from Wi-Fi and central heating throughout.
One medium sized or two small (well-behaved) dogs are welcome (£25 charge).
With so much to do within walking distance of Castaway Lodge, you could be forgiven for parking the car up and enjoying a week of simple relaxation. If you do decide to venture a little further then there are many activities and attractions within easy driving distance including Folly Farm, The Dinosaur Park, Manor House Wildlife Park and Heatherton World of Adventures. The historic sea-side town of Tenby is just a short drive away as well as the market town of Narberth and the best of Pembrokeshire’s most diverse beaches and coastline.
