Puffin Cottage Holidays is a family-run business based in Saundersfoot, managing over 170 holiday properties across Pembrokeshire. We offer a complete holiday home management solution and work closely with our sister companies, Pembrokeshire Laundry Services and Pembrokeshire Holiday Home Cleaning Services, allowing us to provide a truly comprehensive service to holiday home owners and guests.

The Role

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our growing team.

Hours Available: Full-time 37.5 hours - mix of 9-5 and 10-6. Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays essential.

Working Pattern: Applicants must be available to work Fridays and Saturdays, together with peak holiday periods including school summer holidays and half-term breaks.

Salary: £14.00 per hour

This is a varied and hands-on role that combines office-based administration with field-based property management duties. No two days are the same, and the successful candidate will play an important role in delivering exceptional service to both guests and property owners.

Key Responsibilities

Assisting with new property onboarding and setup Managing guest and owner enquiries via telephone, email and online booking channels Generating bookings from incoming enquiries Conducting property inspections and quality checks Coordinating and arranging maintenance works across the property portfolio Supporting guest communications before, during and after their stay Writing blogs and assisting with social media and website content Representing the company at sponsored events and local community activities when required Providing occasional out-of-hours support through our guest emergency mobile phone rota

Out-of-Hours Emergency Phone

As part of the role, team members may be required to participate in an out-of-hours guest emergency phone rota from time to time, particularly when covering annual leave or holidays for other team members. This duty is paid in addition to normal working hours and is primarily focused on handling genuine guest emergencies and urgent property issues outside office hours

Working Alongside Our Sister Companies

You will also work closely with Pembrokeshire Laundry Services and Pembrokeshire Holiday Home Cleaning Services, particularly on changeover days. Duties may include:

  • Preparing guest welcome packs
  • Organising and managing property keys
  • Checking cleaning teams in and out of properties
  • Stocktaking cleaning and welcome supplies
  • Replenishing cleaner stock and consumables
  • Supporting operational activities to ensure smooth guest arrivals

This role is ideal for someone who is equally comfortable working behind a desk and getting stuck in operationally when required. It is a fast-paced environment where flexibility and teamwork are essential.

Requirements

  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Positive, proactive and can-do attitude
  • Flexible approach to work and willingness to support the wider team
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Confidence to learn and use our bespoke booking and property management systems
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Strong IT skills, including:
  • Windows
  • Google Mail
  • Microsoft Word
