Dog Friendly Beaches Pembrokeshire

Dog Friendly Beaches Pembrokeshire

All of Pembrokeshire beaches are dog friendly between 1st October & 30th April!

Here in Pembrokeshire, we are spoilt for choice with our array of beaches from traditional gorgeous long Saundersfoot & Tenby beaches, wide expanse of golden sands such as Marloes Sands or secluded bays such as Broad Haven South & Barafundle Bay – any many, many more!

With more than 50 beaches and over 186 miles of coastal path there’s a beach for everyone – including your four-legged friends!

While staying with Puffin Cottage Holidays, at one of our many dog friendly properties, these beaches alone are right on your doorstep!.......

Saundersfoot

You have the choice of the Main Beach & Coppet Hall Beach, a premier Blue Flag sandy beach directly in front of the village, alongside the harbor, numerous cafes, shops, and restaurants along The Strand. Or, the Glen Beach, located on the northern side of the harbor, and when the tide goes out you have the lovely sandy beach with rocky pools which lead all the way to Monkstone beach if you can climb a few low rocks.

Wiseman’s Bridge

You have the choice of walking through the old mining train track tunnels, walking the beach during low tide or driving round to the scenic mix of sand, pebbles, rocks and pools of water for you & and the dog to paddle in. If the tide is out low enough you can even walk along the beach to Amroth! (check the tide times before you start walking!)

Amroth Beach

You will find another Blue Flag beach when the tide is out Amroth reveals a long flat sandy beach along the pebble banks to stroll on while you dog enjoys the space playing ball or simply rolling in the sand.

Tenby

Like, Saundersfoot you have a choice of Blue Flag beaches. The main Castle & South Beach is more than 1.5-mile long (when the tide is out) of golden sands and pebbles; Backed by dunes and with gorgeous views of Caldey Island in the short distance. Or, what about the Harbour & North Beach which is a little more sheltered and proudly presents the picturesque Goscar Rock.

And more!

There are so many more miles of beaches just a short drive away – Lydstep, Manorbier, Freshwater East, Barafundle Bay, Broad Haven South (with Bosherton Lily Ponds) and Freshwater West, etc.

And a slighter longer drive away – Marloes Sands, Broad Haven Beach and Newgale.

And DO NOT forget Pendine Sands in the other direction!
