I decided to complete my work experience at Puffin Cottage Holidays because it links closely with the Travel and Tourism course I study in college, and I believe that completing work experience here will help me gain valuable experience.

Throughout my course, I learn about different areas of the tourism industry, including customer service, holiday destinations, visitor attractions, accommodation, and how tourism businesses operate. I also study the importance of providing positive customer experiences and how tourism supports local economies.

SAUNDERSFOOTS BEAUTY- CAFES-SHOPS-BEACHES

Having lived near Saundersfoot all my life, I believe people should visit Saundersfoot because it combines beautiful coastal scenery, relaxing beaches, and a friendly village atmosphere all in one place. The sandy beach is perfect for swimming, paddleboarding, rock pooling, or simply enjoying the sea views. Families especially enjoy the safe, clean shoreline and nearby attractions. A fair few of these are in the Strand.

THE STRAND

The Strand in Saundersfoot is one of the most popular and lively parts of the village. It runs right along the seafront, close to the beach and harbour, making it a central place where both locals and tourists spend time.

Today, the Strand has lots to offer. It is lined with shops, cafés, and places to eat, giving visitors plenty of choice. For example, The Strand sell fresh food such as cakes, sandwiches, and pastries, showing how the street is full of local businesses and independent shops.

One of the main attractions of the Strand is its location right next to the beach.

Saundersfoot Beach is known for its wide, sandy shoreline and shallow water, making it ideal for families, swimming, and relaxing by the sea. From the Strand, people can easily walk straight onto the beach or enjoy views across the bay. It’s also very accessible for anyone.

The area is also close to the harbour, which is a key part of village life. The harbour, once used for exporting coal, is now a busy and attractive place with boats, restaurants, and scenic views.

Overall, the Strand in Saundersfoot is a vibrant and appealing seafront area with much to offer. It blends history, stunning coastal views, and a variety of shops and restaurants, making it one of the most enjoyable spots in the village to visit.
