Saundersfoot is a wonderful place to stay, enjoy and explore!

It is a pretty seaside village with local shops, a working fishing harbour and a blue flag beach.

Saundersfoot also has excellent access to Coppet Hall beach, Glen beach and Wiseman’s Bridge.

Saundersfoot Harbour was originally built to transport coal from the mines in Stepaside, the old tramway is still visible today and forms part of the coastal path connecting Saundersfoot to Coppet Hall and Coppet Hall to Wiseman’s Bridge.

There are many local businesses in the streets of Saundersfoot. Elements of Pembrokeshire, on the strand sells a wide range of handmade products which are all locally made in Pembrokeshire. Christkindl on the high street has a selection of lovely homeware, children’s toys, and gifts as well as local prints from Dilys Photography. Chobbles is a traditional sweet shop situated on the strand where you can step back in time and discover chocolates and sweets from the past.

You are spoilt for choice with eating out in Saundersfoot, The Royal Oak is great for delicious pub grub and The Stone Crab serve amazing seafood, but you’ll need to make sure you book into here as tables go very fast! Tucked away right on Saundersfoot beach is The Sail, serving teas, coffees and a bite to eat. For fine dining you’ll find Coast situated right on Coppet Hall Beach. Coast is an award-winning restaurant with three AA rosettes and the perfect place to take in the seaside views. Cwlbox is a converted street food horsebox situated right on the coastal path where you walk from Coppet Hall to Wiseman’s Bridge – their bang bang prawns aren’t to be missed! Just outside of Saundersfoot, in Pentlepoir, is Lokky’s an Asian inspired cuisine and family run restaurant with plenty of parking.

Saundersfoot is home to many sporting events including Saundersfoot Triathlon, Ironman Wales, Long Course Weekend and the Tenfoot swim. The Saundersfoot Triathlon is being held on Friday 1st September 2023, it’s a 750m swim, 20k cycle and a 5k run around beautiful Saundersfoot. The cycle route of both Long Course Weekend and Ironman Wales runs through Saundersfoot town where athletes take on ‘heartbreak hill’. The Tenfoot swim is a 5.5k swim starting on Tenby’s North Beach and ending on Saundersfoot’s Coppet Hall Beach, Puffin Cottage Holidays are the accommodation partner too!

Saundersfoot will be holding their very own music festival from Friday 7th to Sunday 9th July. SaundersFEST will be celebrating live music, the community, and the businesses in Saundersfoot, with performances both in the village and on the main festival stage in the grounds of Saundersfoot Sports and Social Club. There’s lots of things to do in Saundersfoot and Saundersfoot Harbour is the perfect base if you’re looking for a day out at sea. You can go on a sea safari where you’ll discover seals, porpoise and sea bird whilst taking in views of Caldey Island on a power boat rib. Also check out Cariad Y Mor Charters where you can venture further out into deeper waters of our coast to see Minke Whales, Pilot Whales, Fin Whales. Huge super pods of Common Dolphins, Packs of Blue fin Tuna on the hunt and incredible Shark species including our beautiful Blue Shark, Porbeagle Shark and Threshers which on occasion have been known to leap right out of the water! Cariad Y Mor even offers you the chance to snorkel with the Big Blue Sharks!!
